Well, the line art turned out pretty nice (and fun to do). Not learning my lesson after the 'when Autumn falls' piece, I decided to colour it. Took ages, and the detail almost suffocated me. >__<

Still, even if this piece didn't turn out very nice, I admit I learnt a great deal from working on it: 1) No point inking in grey pen if I'm going to scan and CG a piece anyway. 2) White line/dots/patterns on other darker colours can produce some rather interesting effects. 3) Even if something is drawn 'looking flat', proper shadows can really give it a nice hint of 3D-ness. (ok, we learn that in Art theory, but I was just too noob to figure out I could use it in my pieces.. ^_^;; ) 4) For sanity's sake, just save detailed linearts for proper inkings. If CGing, keep things clean and simple. Spares the agony and headache.
