Another cartoon which I sent to The Star which got published (May 3, 2006).

A bit of background on the Turtle and Nemo story: Turtles have been the mascot for Terengganu for years, and suddenly, the government there decides they want to do away with the turtle image and replace it with the clownfish – all in the name of improving the state’s image and thus, attract more tourists. The reason for choosing Nemo over Turtle is an absurd one, I think: Apparently Nemo moves faster than the ‘slow’ Turtle and is hence a more dynamic image… Duh. =__=;;

Anyway, being a Turtle supporter, I decided to draw this. ^^ Don’t get me wrong, I do love Nemo as well but I think Turtle does deserve more attention than him… =/

Haih... That's the problem with me also... No idea, cannot submit anything... ;__; And cannot simply just draw and submit because they won't publish lo. I already sent 7, they only published 3, and they still owe me RM50 for the teh tarik cartoon... =/ Haih... All my hard work... T__T
